The old way

You know the post.

"Anyone know a good electrician?" — then forty-seven replies, half of them spam, one of them useful, and no way to know if any of it's true.

THERE'S A
BETTER WAY

A comment thread isn't a hiring process.

Where this started

You don't need an LLC to be good at this.

I started Crewful because I was that guy — sitting around one weekend wanting to make some extra money for my family with skills I already had. I tried Angie's List and everywhere else, and every one of them wanted me to have a registered business before I could even bid on a job. I didn't want a company. I wanted to put what I already knew how to do to work.

To be clear: this isn't unlicensed work, no questions asked. If you're not a licensed professional, say so — list your trade and how many years you've been doing it right in your bio and your bid, so whoever's hiring knows exactly what they're getting before they say yes.
How it works

Two sides. One job board.

Whether you're hiring or looking for work, the whole thing happens in one place — no group to scroll, no stranger to vet from scratch. Tap the buttons on the phones below to try it yourself.

For small businesses & commercial accounts

Bigger jobs. Verified companies.

Not every job is a leaky faucet. Crewful's commercial side is built for contractors hiring out real scope — with the accountability a bigger price tag deserves.

Commercial work orders

  • Verified business badge, so pros know you're a legitimate company before they bid
  • Post real scope — excavation, construction, commercial wiring, fiber, structural work
  • Request a site visit and a ballpark estimate before anyone commits to a firm bid

Questions

Before you ask.

Same rough idea — post a job, get bids — but built around fixing the actual failure mode of local Facebook groups: no verification, no accountability, no secure payment. Crewful also covers commercial-scale work, not just small household tasks.

You pay securely in the app once you award a bid. The pro is paid out essentially instantly — there's no holding period, so raise any concerns before you pay if you can.

You can report an issue on a completed job any time. Since the pro is usually paid out instantly, that mostly means it gets reviewed after the fact rather than pausing a payout — but it's a real process, not a comment thread shrug.

No. Plenty of skilled people on Crewful aren't formally licensed, and that's fine — this isn't just for people who already run a registered business. If you're not licensed, be upfront about it: list your trade and how many years you've actually done it in your bio and your bid, so whoever's hiring can make an informed call before they say yes.

Yes — signing up, posting jobs, and browsing are all free. Crewful takes a small platform fee out of completed residential jobs; commercial jobs currently carry no platform fee while that side of the marketplace is new.

Right now — Crewful is live on the App Store. Download it here → Android is in the works — see the note at the bottom of the page if you want to be notified.
